On behalf of the DVCon 2009 Steering and Program committees, I invite you to attend the Design & Verification Conference and Exhibition.

Welcome everyone and thank you for your interest in DVCon, the premier conference for the functional design and verification electronic systems. As our industry has grown and evolved, the conference has ably kept up, and we will continue this trend in 2009. As a long-time conference participant going back to its earlier days as HDLCon, I am gratified to see DVCon continue to provide an excellent forum where technology leaders, practicing engineers, academia, and the vendor community can share the latest, practical, leading-edge techniques, technologies and methods.

We continually strive to improve the conference from year to year, so we'll be incorporating some fresh ideas proposed by attendees and new committee members. You can expect the usual high-quality technical program, including sponsored tutorials, technical panels, embedded tutorials, and research sessions, as well as informative (and delicious) sponsored luncheons. We'll also be further expanding the exhibit floor and exhibit hours to make it more convenient for folks to find out what the exhibitors are up to. I hope you'll take advantage of the greater variety of solutions presented and enjoy the more flexible hours.

Please accept this heartfelt invitation to participate in the increasingly popular and growing conference, and help us deliver on the charter of DVCon by improving the functional design and verification of electronic systems. Whether you present a paper or tutorial or come to learn and interact with colleagues and other industry experts, I hope you'll find DVCon 2009 to be a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
