Important Information and Key Dates
for Poster Presenters

 

All Poster Presenters are encouraged to prepare a full presentation for DVCon as there is a possiblity that posters may be moved into presentation slots as the Committee sees fit.


Accepted abstracts selected for presentation as a poster WILL produce a paper for inclusion in the DVCon 2012 Proceedings.

All changes that are to be included in the Advanced Program are due to the DVCon Office. You should notate these changes directly on the Confirmation Form.

Dec. 6, 2011

Conference registration opens. You will receive a link and instructions on how to register as a speaker at the discounted rate by December 12.

Dec. 7, 2011

Check the DVCon website for your presentation. Make sure all information listed is correct. Notify the DVCon Office with any changes.

Dec. 8, 2011

Draft papers are DUE. Follow the link located within your official accept letter (download letter here) to submit your paper to the Technical Program Committee for review. SAVE THE LINK INFORMATION. You will also submit your final paper via this link by February 7. Links are personal and secure.

Jan. 10, 2012

Deadline to receive feedback on your draft paper from the Technical Program Committee. Your reviews will be emailed to the correspondent directly, so make sure to add papers@dvcon.com to your safe-contact list.

Jan. 12, 2012

Deadline for presenters to register. Contact Nannette Jordan with questions.

Jan. 17, 2012

Deadline for any changes to spelling or affiliations related to your paper. You MUST contact the DVCon Office by this date in order for the changes to be published.

Jan. 24, 2012

Last day to reserve your hotel room at the special DVCon discounted rate! Click here to reserve your room.

Jan. 26, 2012

PowerPoint/PDF presentations are due to your Session Chair for review. Submit your presentations via the individual link you received from the DVCon Office. You will receive feedback from your Session Chair via email.

Feb. 7, 2012

Final papers due to the DVCon Office. Instructions will be sent at a later date via email.

Feb. 7, 2012

Speaker Bio due to DVCon Office. Submit via the same personalized link you received to submit your draft paper.

Feb. 9, 2012

Deadline to receive feedback (via email) on your final presentation from your Session Chair.

Feb. 27, 2012

Conference begins! Good luck!

Poster Guidelines:
Your physical poster should be at maximum a size of 36 inches x 36 inches, or you can produce a total of six (6) A4 pages. We suggest you display a total of 12 presentation slides, 2 slides per A4 page. Please remember to bring your physical poster with you; DVCon will not provide printing or poster production services at the conference.

Please follow these Final Research Paper Guidelines in order to help you prepare your Final Paper for the Proceedings:

Minimum/Maximum Page Requirements - Final papers for poster presenters must be a minimum of four (4) pages in length. Details on final paper submission will be sent mid-January.
Spacing -Single spaced
Formatting - Two column

Registration:

Registration instructions will be sent to all presenters by December 12, 2011. If you have any questions, please contact the Registration Coordinator, Nannette Jordan.

Visas:

U.S. Embassies have been experiencing longer delays in the issuance of visas. Due to the increased security measures in the United States, an updated visa might be required. Thus, it is recommended that you check to be sure your visa will allow entry to the United States. More information regarding travel visas can be found here.
